Reflections on one year of study at the Nanyang Technological University as a CSC visiting student

Abstract: The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is an institution aiming to improve the training of creative and distinguished postgraduates and enhance the development of China’s higher education. Over the past several years, CSC has sponsored many talented Chinese students for overseas study. From March 2021 to April 2022, Mr. Jun Peng, supervised by Prof. Shuhai Jia, was sponsored by CSC to conduct research work in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) as a visiting Ph.D. student, supervised by Prof. Yaowen Yang. In this presentation, a specific report about his research work on the Design and investigation of optical fiber sensors for strain, temperature, and electromagnetic field measurement. Besides, his living experience in Singapore will be shared in this presentation.
